What the filter kit protects against
The filter set includes 2 filters:
- Exhaust filter - G4 (coarse 60%) - for MVHR protection
- Supply air filter - G4 (60% coarse) - for indoor air protection
This filter set complies with the ISO 16890 standard for particle filtration efficiency.
G4 filters trap up to 60% of coarse air particles larger than 10 microns, such as soil particles, large pollen grains, plant debris, insect wings, sawdust, sand and textile fibres. One filters the exhaust air from your home and protects your MVHR unit, while the other purifies the outdoor air coming into your home, improving your indoor air quality and protecting your health. This helps to reduce the amount of visible dust, lowers energy consumption, ensures quiet operation and extends the life of the system.
Use and maintenance
Zehnder recommends replacing the filters every 6 months to ensure optimal air quality and system performance.
However, the frequency of changes may vary depending on the following factors:
- Air pollution levels (e.g. urban and rural areas).
- Allergy or sensitivity to respiratory tract
- Keeping pets indoors or smoking
- Dust from nearby construction sites
If your system has a filter change indicator, follow its warnings. Otherwise, visually check the filters - if they look very dirty or clogged, it's time to replace them.

This filter set is made by Zehnder, a trusted partner with whom we have worked for many years. We buy all our products directly from them, ensuring authenticity and consistent quality. Zehnder has its own production facilities in the Netherlands, France and Switzerland, in accordance with high European production standards.
The filters are manufactured using Z-Pleat technology, which significantly increases the surface area of the filter by folding the material into multiple pleats. This pleated design not only improves particle collection, but also reduces air resistance in the system, resulting in a more efficient MVHR unit.
